Description

The Celestron 1.25 Eyepiece and Filter Kit is a great way to expand the functionality and enjoyment of your telescope. Inside the metal, foam-lined carry case youll find these accessories:

32 mm Plossl Eyepiece - 1.25
17 mm Plossl Eyepiece - 1.25
13 mm Plossl Eyepiece - 1.25
8 mm Plossl Eyepiece - 1.25
6 mm Plossl Eyepiece - 1.25
2X Barlow Lens - 1.25
#80A Blue Filter - 1.25
#58 Green Filter - 1.25
#56 Light Green Filter - 1.25
#25 Red Filter - 1.25
#21 Orange Filter - 1.25
#12 Yellow Filter - 1.25
Moon Filter - 1.25
Eyepieces - All five Plossl eyepieces can be used in any telescope with a 1.25 focuser. Each eyepiece features a four-element design with a 52 apparent field of view. The optics are fully multi-coated to improve light transmission and protect the optics. The 32 mm Plossl eyepiece offers a low power, wide field view in most telescopes, the 13 mm & 17 mm focal lengths are good medium-power oculars, and the 8 mm & 6 mm eyepieces provide high magnifications, great for the Moon and planets, especially when seeing conditions are good.

2X Barlow Lens - The included, and very versatile 2X Barlow doubles the magnification of any 1.25 eyepiece. Since this kit includes five (5) eyepieces, you will be able to use them with and without the Barlow, giving you a total of ten magnification options in all. Any other 1.25 eyepieces you already have will also work in this desirable accessory, giving you even more magnification choices. Remember, high magnifications do not always produce clear, sharp results, especially on evenings of poor or moderate seeing conditions. Experiment to find the magnifications that are best for your telescope on a particular night.

Filters - Colored filters can be used to bring out certain details on a planets surface or its cloud structure. All of the planetary filters included in the 1.25 Eyepiece & Accessory Kit, as well as the Moon filter, can be used on any 1.25 eyepiece with the proper filter threads, so they are very versatile. Just screw one onto your eyepiece of choice and slide it into the focuser.

The Moon filter is one of the first accessories most new amateur astronomers buy, and for good reason! It helps block out a portion of the light the Moon sends into your eyepiece so that you can see details better. You can also try this filter on Venus; it blocks enough glare so you can observe the planets phases more easily.

Metal Case: The sturdy metal carry case has die-cut foam inside to protect and cushion your accessories. Store each one in its appointed place when not in use and youll keep them looking and performing like new. The case is even large enough to carry a few extra accessories. Just pull out enough of the foam cubes to make a nest for your eyepiece, camera adapter, etc. A tight fit is better, so remove the least amount of foam possible before testing the fit. You can always remove more if you need to.

Item was made by aluminum with crosshair at the bottom allow quick and precise centering of the optics.
This collimation eyepiece can be used for precisely collimating the Newtonian and Schmidt-Cassegrain reflector telescopes for better image quality.

Description

This is a great accessory for precisely collimating the optics of your Newtonian reflector telescope to achieve the best image the telescope can deliver. The approximately 6" long aluminum tube is a combination sight tube and Cheshire eyepiece. Peephole in the top and wire crosshairs at the bottom allow quick and precise centering of the optics. Fits in 1.25" focusers or in 2"-1.25" adapters. All metal construction. No instructions are included with the item but this kind of information can be found easily on the internet. Here is some tips for using it. To use the collimating eyepiece, insert it into the eyepiece tube of your telescope and illuminate the angled ring. Sight down the tube and note the crosshair target. Center the First Mirroe (diagonal in a Newt, secondary in a CAT) on the crosshair, and adjust its tilt until the bright ring the collimator is producing is centered in the reflection. Next, adjust each successive mirror in the scope so that the image of the ring is concentric with the optic. Professional opticians refer to this as "working BACK THROUGH the system," ie.: adjusting each mirror in succession from the eyepiece outwards. In other words, before you align the primary on a CAT system, you have to have the secondary aligned, because it's the first thing you SEE while looking up the tube.

7. Orion 5691 LaserMate Deluxe II Telescope Laser Collimator

Feature

Want the best views possible from your reflector telescope? Perfectly align your reflector optics with our second-generation LaserMate Deluxe Collimator!

Description

With the Orion LaserMate Deluxe II Laser Collimator, you will get dead-on alignment (a.k.a., collimation) of your reflector telescope's primary and secondary mirrors quickly and consistently. Its "rear-view" port has a bulls-eye target that lets you adjust the telescope's primary mirror while conveniently standing at the rear of the telescope, where the primary mirror adjustment screws are located. You just adjust the collimation knobs until the laser beam's red dot hits the bulls-eye, and then you're done! This second-generation LaserMate Deluxe features and improved, all-aluminum housing with a wider, 3mm barrel flange to ensure that the collimator seats squarely in the telescope's eyepiece holder - exactly parallel to the focuser's mechanical axis. 8. Solomark Collimation Eyepiece for Newtonian Telescopes and Refractors - Cheshire 1.25"

Feature

Special eyepiece fits into 11/4" focusers or diagonals.
For aligning optics of Newtonian reflectors, Dobsonian reflectors, and Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescopes (SCTs)
Collimation eyepiece is more accurate than the simple Collimation Tool
When collimating a refractor you should put the Cheshire directly into the focuser.
With Dustproof and MoistProof Rubber Cover-Expert Design-CNC Machine Made- Precise Surface Dealing

Description

The SOLOMARK Cheshire eyepiece has a broad rim on which it rests when it is inserted into the telescope's focuser. This provides an exact alignment of the Cheshire so that the collimation result will be accurate even if there is play between the Cheshire and the focuser. Newtonian telescopes: Insert the Cheshire like a normal eyepiece into the telescope focuser. Turn the porthole on the side towards a light source and look into the pinhole of the eyepiece. Once the crosshair and the reflection of the secondary mirror are concentric the telescope is properly collimated. Refractors: When looking through the Cheshire you will see as many reflected discs as there are glass-to-air surfaces. (Example: An air-spaced doublet refractor will show four reflected discs, of which usually two are brighter.) Once all these rings are concentric the telescope is perfectly collimated. A slight misalignment usually is no problem, however if the rings are drastically excentric then the telescope should be recollimated. Hands-on Advice by SOLOMARK: When collimating a refractor you should put the Cheshire directly into the focuser. Do not use a star diagonal, which in itself might be slightly miscollimated. You will need to keep the lens cap on the focuser, else the image will be too bright and you will not see the much fainter reflections. When collimating a Newtonian telescope we recommend to rotate the telescope until the focuser looks straight up, and then to insert the Cheshire without locking it. This prevents the Cheshire from getting tilted slightly out of axis.

Description

To get the most out of your Newtonian scope you really need to align or collimate the mirrors. It can take some time getting used to aligning both the secondary and primary mirrors and this short collimator can make it much easier. The short collimator for mirror (reflector) telescopes has a 45 degree plate for easier visual accuracy. Collimation is the alignment of elements inside an optical system like a telescope. Colimating a telescope consists of adjusting the tilt and position of the mirrors and lenses to ensure that the focal point reaches optimum focus at the point from which the image will be viewed (the eyepiece or possibly a camera).
