1. Orion 8894 0.8x Focal Reducer for Refractor Telescopes

Feature

Requires 55mm of back focus
Features fully multi-coated, 38mm clear aperture optics housed in a sleek
Enables a refractor to both acquire a larger field of view and to capture bright
Reduces an astrophotography refractor's effective focal length by a factor of 0.8x

Description

Some of the most picturesque celestial objects are too large to fit in the field of view of an imaging refractor and camera. What's more, most objects in deep space are very faint and therefore challenging to image without taking very long exposures, increasing the potential for error. Our new Orion 0.8x Focal Reducer for Refractors addresses these obstacles by increasing your refractor telescope's field of view while reducing the effective focal length by a factor of 0.8x, thereby providing a shorter, more optically "fast" focal ratio to increase astrophotography efficiency. Using the 0.8x focal reducer not only enables your refractor telescope to acquire a larger field of view, but also makes it capable of capturing bright, vividly detailed astrophotos in considerably less time. The Orion 0.8x Imaging Focal Reducer's fully multi-coated, 38mm clear aperture optics are housed in a sleek, all-machined, anodized aluminum body. Internal glare-threads provide maximum image contrast and brightness. It's designed for use with any refractor telescope equipped with a 2" focuser, and requires 55mm of backfocus. Use with a DSLR and appropriate T-ring combination will not require use of any spacers. For use with a CCD astrophotography camera with less backfocus, we highly recommend using the Orion Variable 12-17mm T-thread Spacer Ring (sold separately) to achieve proper distance. You can further enhance your astrophotos by using 2" imaging filters with the Orion 0.8x Imaging Focal Reducer since it is conveniently threaded for use with 2" filters. Unit weighs 6.2 oz.

2. Orion 0.5x Focal Reducer for StarShoot G3-G4 Imaging Cameras

Feature

0.5x focal reducer for StarShoot G3 or G4 imaging cameras increases imaging area by a factor of 4.
Wider imaging area allows capture of larger starfields or deep-sky objects.
Fully coated two-lens design
Works with Orion StarShoot G3 or G4 Color and StarShoot G3 or G4 Monochrome cameras
Rugged anodized aluminum cell threads directly into the camera nosepiece

Description

This 0.5x focal reducer increases the area imaged by your StarShoot G3 or G4 camera by a factor of 4. The reducer threads into the nosepiece of either StarShoot G3 camera to effectively reduce the focal length of the telescope by half. The larger imaging area allows capture of larger starfields and deep-sky objects that may not fit entirely in your telescope's normal field of view. The reducer has a two-element lens design, with antireflection coatings on all air-to-glass lens surfaces. The lenses are set in an anodized aluminum cell that is threaded to accept 1.25" filters.

3. Sky Watcher Sky-Watcher 0.85x Focal Reducer/Corrector for Sky-Watcher PRO 120 ED Refractor

4. Orion 5187 Wide T-ring for Nikon

Feature

Wide 48mm T-ring supports full 35mm format Nikon cameras
Couples camera body to wide 48mm T-thread on Orion focal reducers for ED80 and ED100 refractor telescopes
For use with 48mm wide-format T-threaded accessories
Not compatible with standard T-threaded accessories

Description

A T-ring converts a SLR or DSLR camera mount to a standard T-thread. All camera adapters and universal camera adapters will fit this T-thread. This wide (48mm) T-ring supports full 35mm format cameras. A wide format T-ring is needed for astrophotographic applications using a Nikon DSLR or SLR camera and a focal-reducer / corrector lens.

5. Orion Wide M48 T-ring for Canon EOS Cameras

Feature

This larger than standard size, wide 48mm diameter T-ring supports full 35mm format Canon cameras. Not compatible with standard T-threaded accessories.
Couples camera body to wide, M48 48mm T-threads on Focal Reducers for Orion ED refractors and Field Flatteners for EON 115mm and 130mm refractor telescopes
Fits all Canon EOS 35mm DSLR or SLR cameras
Required for use with focal-reducer and corrector lenses and field flatteners for Orion ED80, ED100, EON 115mm and EON 130mm refractors
Compatible with wide format 48mm T-threaded accessories only. Not compatible with standard (42mm) T-threaded camera adapters.

Description

A T-ring converts a SLR or DSLR camera mount to a standard T-thread. All camera adapters and universal camera adapters will fit this T-thread. This wide (48mm) T-ring supports full 35mm format cameras. A wide format T-ring is needed for astrophotographic applications using a Canon DSLR or SLR camera and a focal-reducer / corrector lens.

6. Orion 08671 Eon Flat-Field Imaging 3" Field Flattener for Eon 115/130 EDT Refractors, Black

Feature

Optimizes flat-field Imaging performance of the eon 115mm or eon 130mm ED triplet (edit) refractor
Corrects field curvature distortion to keep stars sharp all the way to the Edge of camera sensors
Threads directly onto telescopes' 3" Focuser drawtube for ultra-rigid connection
Secure, wide M48 threaded camera attachment optimized for use with DSLRs and other large-sensor cameras
Fully multi-coated Optics for maximum light throughput and bright images

Description

Boost the flat-field imaging performance of your eon Refractor with this handy field flattener. Designed for use with Orion eon 115mm and eon 130mm ED triplet APO refractors, the Orion 3" field flattener minimizes field curvature distortion that can otherwise elongate stars at the edge of the field-of-view. With the field-flattener installed, every exposure will exhibit track-sharp stars all the way to the edge of the imaging field. Fully multi-coated, two-element optics ensure maximum light transmission to preserve image brightness and clarity. Since the Orion field flattener for eon 115/130 edt refractors does not act as a reducer, it will not alter the focal length of the eon telescope it's used with. One side of the Orion 3" field flattener for eon edit refractors threads directly onto the 3" focuser of the eon 115mm or eon 130mm ED triplet telescope, while the other end features wide, M48 threads to reduce vignetting when used with DSLRs and other large-sensor cameras. This secure threaded connection ensures a rigid connection with zero flexure. The M48 threads are wider than standard M42 "t-threads" found on some other field flattener to minimize vignetting and provide better illumination of full frame camera sensors. Requires a compatible wide T-ring for use with DSLRs (sold separately). the 3" field flattener has a back focus, or flange focal distance, of 51.5mm, though it is known to be effective at up to 5mm on either side (46.5mm - 56.5mm). it adds 88.8mm of mechanical length to an imaging train. The Orion 3" field flattener for eon 115/130 ED triplet refractors weighs 1 lb., 2oz. Dust caps included.
