INSTRUCTIONS: (Follow along with 6th image)1) The product will come in it's compact packaging (which is also how it can be stored once disassembled).
2) Take out all the parts and put the slatted cutting board inside the main unit (crumb catcher).
3) Fit the two slicing guide boards snugly into the slatted cutting board. Keep in mind that the distance from each other can be adjusted to fit the width of the bread loaf.
4) Put the stabilizing backboard at the back-end of the slicer - into the slats of the slicing guides.
5) Your bread slicer is assembled! Snugly fit your bread between the 2 slicing guides.
You will have 5 guides per thickness (you will notice 3 thicknesses on the cutting guide slats). Therefor, after 5 slices, remove, adjust and replace the backboard to properly realign the loaf and continue cutting.
For your safety and cutting stability, be sure to keep the back-end of the loaf pressed against the backboard while you slice!
To recap:
Most slicers on the market do not have adjustable width slats: they have folding up, stationary side slats that can not be expanded or contracted based on the width of the bread or cake.
