Description: In this second program in the continuing mini-series, we take another look at the history of Cades Cove in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This once thriving farm community was home to hundreds of people. Here, former residents and descendants tell us about the Milton LeQuire farm, the Asa Sparks home place, Gregory s Cave, the Albert Hill Store, the Consolidated School, and the Cove after dark. We learn about Smoky Mountain cemeteries, how many there are in the Park, how old graves are found and counted, and all about burials, tombstones and coffins.

As we continue along the Loop Road, we are introduced to the history of the Cades Cove Primitive Baptist Church and some of the Preachers there including Andrew Gregory, William Howell Oliver, John W. Oliver, Cary C. Oliver, Elder Charles Taylor and others. It is filled with great stories and personal family histories of Cades Cove. And all along the way is fantastic video footage of Cades Cove and wonderful music! As the first installment was, the one is also over 2 hours long.
