QUESTION: How do I get the markers to work?ANSWER: The markers need to be 'started' - to do this shake the marker then press and pump the tip against a writing surface. Keep pressing and pumping until the chalk flows into the tip. The markers will arrive with a new white/tan tip and fresh chalk stored inside. While starting the markers, you will see the colored chalk flow into the tip. Starting the markers takes about 90 seconds - please be patient.
QUESTION: What surfaces can I use the markers on?
ANSWER: The easy-clean markers work on any non-porous surface. You can use them on glass, windows, windshields, stainless steel, sealed tiles and stone, whiteboards, professional chalkboards, bistro boards, and more! If you're unsure about whether a certain surface is non-porous, test a small amount in the corner.
QUESTION: What about chalkboard painted walls or wooden blackboards?
ANSWER: Unfortunately, every brand of chalk marker/pencil/pen will leave a permanent mark on chalkboard paint. Only NON-POROUS chalkboards and blackboards made of slate, melamine, plastic, porcelain/porcelain steel, etc. are completely erasable with no ghosting/shadowing.
